All-new, redesigned XB8E chassis has improved weight balance to improve the cars handling. The front of the chassis is narrower to improve steering, the rear of the chassis is wider to increase stability, and the overall length is 4mm shorter with weight balance moved forward (including engine, radio box, fuel tank, and center diff). The chassis is CNC-machined from 3mm high-quality Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, strategically machined in low-stress areas, and then anodized to make it as light as possible without affecting strength or rigidity. Non-essential material below the engine, fuel tank, and differential was removed to allow for the lowest possible center of gravity and optimal chassis flex.
Must be used with #351159 XB8 Composite Chassis Side Guards L+R. Note: Swiss 7075 T6 is an extremely rigid aluminum material. After the hardcoating process, in some rare cases some small cracks may appear (for example, around openings or on edges) where tension in the material is highest. Those small cracks are a natural effect and have no negative impact on the performance, reliability, or lifespan of the product, and as such are not considered to be a defect.
Due the nature of the aluminum material and the machining process, it is normal that the chassis may be slightly bent in the longitudinal direction.
