Lightweight CNC-machined chassis made from premium 3mm Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, strategically machined in low-stress areas to make it as light as possible without adversely affecting strength or rigidity. The area under the engine features air-flow cut-outs for extra cooling airflow. The outer edges of the chassis have been beveled and screw holes are countersunk for a smooth lower surface. The chassis can accommodate graphite reinforcement inserts or additional balancing weights (front & rear) to tune chassis stiffness, balance, and CG.
The chassis has a larger opening under the front suspension area for better forward traction and improved steering characteristics. The engine area of the chassis has been re-designed as well. Another opening similar in size to the flywheel opening has been added to the other side of the chassis for equal flex. Unnecessary cooling cutouts under the engine area have been removed, giving better reinforcement in the engine area. The re-designed chassis offers improved cornering performance and superior stability. The chassis is 2mm narrower overall to increase chassis flex and generate more traction and steering. The narrower chassis also prevents chassis contact during cornering, and helps to eliminate the car stopping in mid-corner. Due the nature of the aluminum material and the machining process, it is normal that the chassis may be slightly bent in the longitudinal direction.
