The Tamiya DB-01 chassis is based on the competition level TRF501X off-road 4WD chassis kit. The same drive-train and suspension geometry that was devolped for the 501 are incorporated into the DB-01.Since its release, the Tamiya DB-01 has had many options released for the kit. Tamiya now offers a DB-01R (R=Racing) that has 90% of these option parts included in one neat package at an affordable price point.
