This Universal Propeller Shaft achieves its lightweight by reducing the size of the propeller shaft diameter from 4.2mm to 3.4mm. The weight for the standard shaft (front 28g rear 32g) compared to the lightweight shaft (front 24g rear 27g) provides a weight saving of almost 10g. Assembly of the lightweight shaft is done in the same simple manner as the standard shaft. The above image shows (top) standard shaft and (bottom) lightweight shaft.
