The U.S. Navy carrier-based fighter, the Corsair A-7, made its maiden flight in 1965. Two years later, the A-7A, which was stationed on the carrier USS Ranger, engaged in action in the Vietnam War. Other A-7 models produced include the B, C, E, and D, seeing the A-7 continue to serve until the early 1990&39;s.
