This is a 1/48 scale plastic finished model of the U.S. 2 1/2 ton cargo truck which supported the lifeline of Allied armies during WWII and in Korea. The ever reliable and tough form of this cargo truck has been precisely reproduced. It was seen carrying various kinds of loads such as artillery & ammunition, fuel, food stuffs as well as soldiers. The model displays an accurately reproduced canvas cabin top, common in trucks built after 1944. The complicated suspension has been realistically reproduced. Applied to the model are markings to depict the famous large scale supply operation the "Red Ball Express". Combining this model with other U.S. vehicles and aircraft would truly be enjoyable to display.
