• After taking the Constructors&39; Championship in 1999, Ferrari set their sights on bringing out a machine which could earn both the Constructors&39; and Drivers&39; Championships for 2000. The result was the new F1-2000 which inherited many of the characteristics of the 1999 car, including the high nose, side diffusers and exhaust port. Ferrari also brought out a new V10 engine called the 3000 Ferrari (Type 049). During the 2000 race season, Michael Schumacher took 9 victories including the opening three races to claim the first Drivers&39; Championship for a Ferrari driver since Jody Sheckter&39;s in 1979. In addition, Rubens Barrichero&39;s victory at the German GP helped the team to also secure the Constructors&39; Championship again.
• This item is a hand built and finished version of the original assembly kit (item 20048). The finished model is assembled and painted by Tamiya&39;s in house model artisans.
