The Tiger Hunter

The M26 Pershing was introduced in the final stages of WWII as the successor to the M4 Sherman. Featuring a powerful 50 caliber 90mm gun with a range of 1,400m, the Pershing was designed to take on the powerful German Tiger and Panther tanks. Equipped with a Ford GAF liquid cooled gasoline engine and torsion bar suspension, the Pershing boasted not only assault power but also excellent mobility. First deployed to Europe in February 1945, Pershing tanks were used as part of the drive into Germany. Pershing tanks were also deployed to Korea at the outbreak of war in June 1950, and overwhelmed the rival T34/85 Soviet built tanks of the North Korean and Chinese armies.
