For all Serpent 1/18 scale cars, 966 and 977, Serpent now offers the CVD driveshafts in hard anodized 7075-T6 aluminium . Laser engraved with length and Serpent logo.

These are around 50% lighter than the same durable units in spring-steel. So an important reduction of rotational masses to improve acceleration and braking.

Front per set: aluminium 7.15 grams
Rear per set : aluminium 7.80 grams

We advice to use the alu shafts mainly for qualifying only, as durability is less then spring steel ones, which should be used for longer finals .
