The twin-engine attack aircraft A-26 Invader, designed and manufactured by the American company Douglas, has had an extraordinary long operational life. The first units reached the war front during the Second World War, in 1943, and the latest versions have taken part in all the major conflicts of the '50s and '60s, such as Korea and Indochina, until the Vietnam War.
