About the Car:

In 1984 F1 Big race, McLaren team won the dual champion with its unique strength. Once again, those two talented motorcar racers Niki Lauda and Alain Prost won in 1985, with their excellent performance , they deserved their continuous preparation for the coming race seasons.

Engine continue with V6 TAG-Porsche turbo charged engine, but with the opponent fleet continually evolving, McLaren team put effort in the engine auxiliary equipment to make change of MP4/2 evolving into MP4/2B. Abolish the regulatory after the game with small tips as well as the alteration in tries from Michelin tires GOOD YEAR in F1 and etc. in appearance changes.

Even with the evoltuion in MP4/2B, the gap between the opponent fleet was very minimal. Result in only got 2 pole position out of 16 in the seasonal race. With Alain Prost's outstanding performance, he won his first championship with 5 wins in 1985 seasons. Lauda retried from F1 at the end of the season, but not before adding a final victory to his tally in the 1985 Dutch Grand Prix. McLaren claimed theire second successive constructor's championship with the effort of two top racers.
